TCR gp100 PE : PE Labeled gp100:209-217(210M) STAR™ Multimer

High affinity single-chain T-cell receptor multimer

This is one of the STAR™ multimers developed by Altor. It is recommended for use in quantification of peptide/MHC complexes on the surface of peptide-loaded antigen presenting cells. STAR™ multimers consist of soluble recombinant single chain TCR protein that has been biotinylated and multimerized with labeled streptavidin. The TCR gp100 reagent contains a high affinity TCR recognizing gp100:209-217(210M) analog/HLA-A2.1 complexes. Binding to gp100:209-217 (ITDQVPFSV)/HLA-A2.1 complexes to peptide-loaded antigen presenting cells is also detectable but requires higher concentrations of loaded peptide. In addition, potential cross-reactivity to other uncharacterized antigens has been observed for some cell lines; thus this reagent is not currently recommended for screening native gp100 antigen presentation on cell/tissue samples.
